Interview: Walker says so far in Shirley Basin no one has seen anything change. He says there has been developments come in, there's been grazing, prairie dog hunting. He says the landowners say you wouldn't even know ferrets are there. He says in the Meeteetse area they've got Sylvatic Plague vaccine, and the tests on that. It seems that it has been positive. He says that and dusting has really helped keep plague out of the area. He says they have enough ferret food, and they've mapped 3000 acres out there and are still mapping prairie dog colonies. He says in the past Warren Air Force base has been a pre-conditioning area, and they may do that again. He says the federal government controls that. He says in the past, there was a worry that the ferrets would escape. Not now, with the new 10(j).
